Program Notes
The Black-Foxe March was composed on the occasion of my high school graduation and is “Dedicated to the Class of 1958”. One of my best friends in our class, Major Geoffrey B. Templeton, took the score and set of parts with him
to Vietnam. One of the most moving performances was a recording he sent to me by the United States Army Band on a wind-swept field somewhere in Vietnam.
